Because Utah Scams is an open community where anyone can post about a scam (anonymously), we are protected under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which provides UtahScams.com immunity from defamation and related claims as long as we are not providing the content for this site, which we are not.
We believe that everyone should have a voice online and that they have a God given right to share with others if they have been wronged by a company or an individual. This is in accordance with our first amendment rights as citizens of the United States of America.
To make a long story short, leave the lawyers out of it! You will just spend lots of money and get absolutely nowhere.
